Little to no rain + strong winds =very sad corn

The Farmer (my love) seems a bit cranky and I know my family member farmers are also a little cranky and depressed.

We need rain and we need it bad. Sadly, it’s almost too late for anything to even help. I’m trying to stay positive but I’m not sure how much longer that will last.

At this point I also don’t care that it’s the 4th of July and we don’t get to set off our own fireworks. That’s very tiny in the larger picture of life right now.

But, happy 4th to everyone! We plan to be with family and make the best of this terrible drought, Fireworks or not.
